I've been considering getting a Samsung phone when I eventually replace my Pixel 6 Pro.
I would've been happy to stay in the Google ecosystem forever, but they keep enshittifying faster and faster. I'm just about at the tipping point.
However, I often use the Live View feature in Google Maps when I'm walking to new places. I would miss it if I didn't have access to it any more. And it seems like most of my non-Pixel-having friends either don't have access to Live View, or don't know about it.
If you use a Samsung phone, can you tell me if Google Maps Live View is available to you??
I don't trust the documentation & also wouldn't trust most salespeople's answer to this question.
@lookitmychicken Note 20 Ultra, and idek what Live View is - I'm guessing it's not street view by a fancy name tho, lol. I also don't know how to figure out how to tell if I've got it I make Google maps tell me directions on distraction-less map bc I can't tell east from west reliably.
@inoru_no_hoshi yeah it's not Street View, although maybe it uses Street View input? I'm not sure.
This article seems to explain it pretty well: https://www.androidcentral.com/apps-software/google-maps/how-to-use-google-maps-live-view-features
