#StrayKids "FNF" Video
... I just realized that they made this video in Melbourne.
The song itself is inspired by how much #BangChan & #Felix miss Australia.
I just did a double-take when I got to the scene where #Hyunjin is sitting at a picnic table next to the water, because it looks so much like a place I've been hundreds of times.
Then rewound a bit and realised that #I_N is skateboarding with the MCG light towers in the background.
Now I need to rewatch & list all the Melbournecore things.
- #Changbin sitting on steps behind Fed Square (?), with the Herald-Sun building behind him
- metro trains running along the elevated tracks beside the Yarra River
- trams along Flinders St
- Trying to figure out what bridge #I_N is skateboarding across. Not sure but MCG is visible from it
- #Seungmin cycling along the bike/pedestrian path in Altona where I used to take my dogs several times a week, what the fuck
(Of course they took #Seungmin there because it's an off-leash area for dogs, & I think it's also the same area where they filmed fellow dog-lover #Hyunjin painting.)
- #LeeKnow with paste-ups in the CBD, walking along laneways near Parliament station & sitting in a cafe
- aha #I_N is on the Batman Avenue bridge that crosses the Flinders St railyards
- I think #Felix is in Yarra Park, in the area between the MCG & Wellington Parade
- trying to figure out exactly where #Seungmin & #Hyunjin are. I'm sure it's in the western suburbs, probably Doug Grant reserve, but I don't remember that little jetty heading out towards the spit. And there aren't many other areas that have the nice landscaping with the spit like that. Could be a new jetty?? Hmm
I'm certain @eyebrowofdoom will know exactly where it is. I'll have to show her.
- #Han is running along one of the footbridges in Birrarung Marr. I think it's the one near the Federation Bells.
- they're all in St Kilda near Luna Park at one point
- which makes me question my certainty that the earlier beach & bike scenes are in the western suburbs
- could be St Kilda or Brighton instead?
Okay I'm gonna make myself a project to visit a bunch of these locations & recreate key shots

Also @eyebrowofdoom said that the beachside locations looked like Werribee, and I scoffed, because Werribee is shit, but apparently I was WRONG and it was actually Werribee, what the fuck, who decides that Werribee is the place to take skz to show them the charms of Melbourne, I am confused
@lookitmychicken@blorbo.social@mary @eyebrowofdoom also also: the place we had brunch yesterday, & the place they were playing #skz last week where I exchanged silliness with a fellow stay, is right next to the jungle juice bar that the tiktoker went to at the end of the video.
Where they took a photo of #BangChan's signature, because he had visited there on a trip to Melbourne.
The #JungleJuice place is directly to my right in the selfie I took in this post.
also also also: I don't know why that tiktoker didn't include #Changbin's location in their tour, maybe they didn't realize how close it was to the others??
Also also also also: I don't have a car & don't have an easy way to get out to werribee to track down those exact locations, so I might end up renting a car for half a day, or try to recruit a car-having friend into going on this ridiculous excursion with me.
