Tournament: Which character is the best guard dog?

To submit a character, please reply with their name, fandom, and propaganda for them. You can submit multiple characters! You can +1 other people's submissions (which will make me more likely to include them)!

If you can't think of propaganda (a reason why people should vote for the character), please still reply with the character's name and fandom, and hopefully someone else will step in! If not, I'll use those submissions as backups.

Rules:
1. Be kind and have fun!
2. No characters from the HP series, for comfort and to avoid discourse.
3. Voter fraud is encouraged. Rope your friends into joining the Fediverse (please do this!), use all your alt accounts, etc. May the character with the most dedicated fans win.
4. I'll try to seed the brackets based on who I think will win, so a potential finalist doesn't lose in the first round.
5. Tiebreaking: I won't vote unless there's a tie.
6. Timing: polls will last 3 days. Submissions will be open for at least 3 days.
7. Images and long text are welcome - I'll include those in the polls as an excerpt + a link.
