I've discovered that markdown is my favourite format for writing text. But every tool I've used in the past to write & edit documents is too fancy & doesn't let me chill with simple markdown.
What's a good tool for creating & editing markdown files?
I like storing stuff in the cloud, I'm not writing anything sensitive where I'm worried about privacy, and it's convenient to be able to access my docs from any device.
I'd like the ability to add tags to docs, mostly not bother with directory structures & just rely on my own (usually pretty disciplined) tag use to organise & find things.
Obsidian, maybe?
@lookitmychicken Joplin my beloved: https://joplinapp.org/
It’s free, open source, works on everything, and you can sync between devices using Dropbox, also free.
@villainousfriend I haven't heard of that one. Trying it now!
@villainousfriend oh I LOVE IT
